Spain’s World Cup glory sabotaged by abuse of power
The grimmest aspect of the “kissing” incident was how, at the end of a wonderful tournament, the achievements of women were hijacked by an attention-seeking man.

Not content with theatrically grabbing his crotch alongside Queen Letizia and her 16-year-old daughter or kissing Spain’s Jennifer Hermoso on the lips, the head of the national federation leant in for another kiss with match-winner Olga Carmona while declaring later in the dressing room he would marry Hermoso in Ibiza.
