England charged over laser pen incident at Euro 2020 match

London | The England soccer team has been charged by Europe’s governing body for the sport over images that showed a laser pen being shone at Denmark goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel during Wednesday’s Euro 2020 semifinal.
UEFA opened proceedings over the incident, also charging England over a disturbance during Denmark’s national anthem – England fans booed when it played – and lighting fireworks.
