London | King Charles III’s coronation on Saturday cemented the monarch’s transition from much-mocked and little-loved prince to the regal figurehead his country and realms require him to be.
The King maintained an almost aloof dignity throughout the two-hour ceremony, rarely smiling or showing emotion, even during the traditional wave from the Buckingham Palace balcony afterwards.
