London | British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has pulled £6000 ($12,000) out of his own pocket to pay for what were previously gifts of Taylor Swift tickets, horseracing freebies and clothes for his wife.

After weeks of damaging headlines about his almost unparalleled proclivity for accepting donations and corporate hospitality, Sir Keir has tried to arrest his free-falling popularity by paying back some of the most eye-catching gifts.
