Britain and France join forces on nuclear deterrents for first time

London | Britain and France have agreed to co-ordinate their use of nuclear weapons for the first time to defend Europe from “extreme” threats.

In a declaration signed during French President Emmanuel Macron’s state visit to Britain, he and UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer pledged to work “more closely than ever before” on nuclear deterrence.
