Blackstone’s boss has a multimillion-dollar newt problem
New York | Stephen Schwarzman is used to besting Wall Street rivals. But amid the rolling hills of southern England, the Blackstone boss has run into a formidable new opponent: the great crested newt.
Mr Schwarzman has been updating Rachel Reeves, the British chancellor, on the hoops he has to go through to avoid disturbing the amphibians during work at his £80 million ($155 million) country estate in Wiltshire.
