London | Britain has directed its airlines to suspend flights over Belarus, as Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab told MPs the state-sponsored hijack of a Ryanair flight on Sunday was “a danger to civilian flights everywhere”.
In a warning that will resonate even in Australia, Britain’s Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Tom Tugendhat told Parliament the incident affected everyone getting onto a plane.
