London | Britain and the European Union look poised to break a four-year Brexit deadlock over Northern Ireland, in what both sides hailed as “a new chapter” in their often fraught relationship.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Tuesday (AEDT) unveiled “the Windsor Framework”, a document that they hope will let Northern Ireland exist simultaneously within the UK customs territory and the EU single market.
