Confederation of British Industry backs Theresa May's Brexit plan

London | Britain's leading business group has thrown its support behind Prime Minister Theresa May's Brexit deal, saying while it is not perfect, it will keep Britain from "going over the cliff" at the end of March next year.

Embattled Mrs May also received a further fillip when the leadership of the 190,000-member Confederation of British Industry (CBI) used its annual conference on Monday to lambast the policies of Labour opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn, warning him not to "resurrect the failed ideologies of the past".
