Theresa May fights fires on all fronts as Brexit showdown looms
London | British Prime Minister Theresa May this week heads into an intensive bout of salesmanship targeting her party, parliament, country and the European Union, as she battles critics and sceptics on all fronts to drive through a 585-page Brexit deal and a blueprint for future Britain-EU relations.
Mrs May is expected to continue an uncharacteristic media charm offensive and to meet several European leaders, ahead of a summit with the heads of the 27 other EU states scheduled for Sunday November 25. But she does so against a backdrop of Conservative Party MPs looking to topple her from the leadership and change the course of Brexit altogether.
