China accuses Canada of 'white supremacy' in detaining of Huawei CFO
Ottawa | China's ambassador to Canada is accusing the the country of "white supremacy" in its arrest of Huawei Technologies chief financial officer Meng Wanzhou at the Vancouver airport last month.
The envoy said Canada was employing a double standard in demanding the release of two men - Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor - detained in China shortly after Meng's arrest. Thirteen Canadians have been detained by Beijing since the December 1 arrest.
