South Korea’s parliament votes to impeach President Yoon

Seoul | South Korean lawmakers impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol, putting him on the brink of being ousted less than two weeks after he shocked the nation by briefly imposing martial law.
The National Assembly passed the motion 204-85 in a floor vote. Mr Yoon’s presidential powers and duties will be suspended after copies of a document on the impeachment are delivered to him and to the Constitutional Court.
