Singapore/Jakarta | Capital cities in what was one of the world’s fastest-growing regions have been brought to a standstill with lockdowns and movement restrictions in place across much of south-east Asia.

This week, emergency measures were extended in Jakarta, flights were stopped in and out of Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur is closing in on its second month of roadblocks and business closures amid a national lockdown. Most commercial activity is banned in Ho Chi Minh City.
