Police storm home of ex-Pakistan PM Imran Khan
Islamabad | Former prime minister Imran Khan of Pakistan appeared at court on corruption charges on the weekend in Islamabad, after police stormed his home in the eastern city of Lahore, in the latest clashes between his supporters and authorities.
Police fired tear gas and arrested dozens of supporters as Mr Khan arrived at the court on Saturday surrounded by a huge crowd, many of whom clashed with police outside the judicial complex. The court allowed Mr Khan, who claimed he could not enter the judicial building because of the chaos, to register his appearance from inside his vehicle.
