Modi’s shock narrow win puts strong growth plan at risk
New Delhi | Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious economic growth goals are at risk after his party failed to win majority support in the general election, making him more reliant on a coalition government to push through tough economic reforms.
Mr Modi is gearing up for coalition talks later on Wednesday, following the shock election result the day before that forces him to rely on smaller allies to form government for the first time since he stormed to power a decade ago.
