Tokyo | Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is unhurt after an apparent smoke bomb was thrown at him while he was preparing to give a speech at a port in central Japan on Saturday.

A man was tackled to the ground by security guards and taken into custody, Japanese media reported.
