Iron ore demand will survive Evergrande wind-up, says King

Tokyo | Resources minister Madeleine King says she is confident China’s demand for iron ore will hold up despite the liquidation of property giant Evergrande, but warns there is no replacement market for Australia’s biggest export.

Ms King, who is visiting Japan and South Korea this week, said the government’s modelling suggested the outlook for iron ore was healthy, but cautioned that could change.
