Jakarta | Indonesians appear to have endorsed Defence Minister Prabowo Subianto’s ultra-nationalist vision for Indonesia following a presidential election with major implications for near neighbour Australia.
On Wednesday night, ex-general Prabowo said he was grateful that unofficial tallies showed he had secured a majority of votes, and vowed to create a government “consisting of the best Indonesians”.
