Google to invest $3b in Malaysian data centre and cloud hub

Kuala Lumpur | Google plans to invest $US2 billion ($3 billion) in Malaysia, developing its first data centre and a cloud hub in the latest big foray by a US tech giant in the South-East Asian country.
The news follows Microsoft’s recent announcement that it would put $US2.2 billion over the next four years into building Malaysia’s new cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure.
