China's farming revolution bears fruit for Australian growers
Jinghong, China | Yula, a woman from an ethnic group in China known as the Dai, has been perched on her plastic stool trying to sell sweet corn all morning.
The dusty main road of this village in remote south-west China is lined with local farmers selling everything from potatoes to dried frog. Business is slow and the worst drought in four years has made it hard to grow crops on her family’s small plot of land but Yula does not seem worried as she has a back-up plan.
