Australia, US condemn China over ‘dangerous’ new South China Sea collision
Washington | The United States and Australia have condemned China’s “dangerous” and “destabilising behaviour” against the Philippines in the South China Sea, after their coast guard vessels rammed in the vital waterway, the latest in an escalating series of clashes.
China and the Philippines accused each other of causing the collision between their two vessels on Saturday in disputed waters near the Sabina Shoal. It was their fifth maritime confrontation in a month in a longstanding rivalry that has become increasingly tense.
