When the CEO pipeline is mostly men it’s time to look outside the box

One of the reasons for the dearth of female CEOs is that companies are choosing from a pool that is far too shallow.

That there are only 25 female chief executives sitting atop the country’s 300 biggest companies is dismal on many levels.

It shows that a raft of measures introduced by human resources departments over the past few years to address gender imbalances are not working, or at least haven’t yet.
