Macquarie Group chief executive Shemara Wikramanayake is named one of The Australian Financial Review Business People of the Year for her consummate leadership through COVID-19.
She is one of only about a dozen Australian chief executives running a truly global company. The banking, funds management and commodities trading operations now generate more than two thirds of total revenue from offshore.
