The CEO of marketing group Bastion Collective, Fergus Watts, doesn't have much time for the idea that employees should leave their emotions at home.

We are walking, working bowls of emotional soup and pretending otherwise just means that we are not dealing with the feelings that influence every decision we make, he says. The ideal of the emotionless, logical automaton belongs in the place where telex machines, time and motion studies and rotary-dial telephones went to die.
