‘End it now or we’ll call police’: Uni toughens up on protesters

Melbourne University has threatened to bring in police to break up a pro-Palestinian protest that has forced the closure of one its buildings, warning “a line had been crossed”.
Deputy vice-chancellor Michael Wesley said the protest encampment in the building and one on a lawn on the campus “needed to end” after running for weeks. He did not set a deadline.
