Pandemic reality check hits private school fees

The reality of cash-strapped household budgets has hit private education, with fee inflation running at a historic low and leading private schools to freeze fees for 2021 – in some cases for the first time in a decade.
The rate of school fee inflation has fallen to 1 per cent, compared with 2.8 per cent last year and more than 3 per cent in 2019.
