The NSW government hopes to exploit the contribution of its 10 universities to economic growth and development through the creation of its first higher education strategy that will increase investments in R&D, increase post-school participation and drive innovation.
The strategy also calls on the state to make renewed efforts in key markets to attract international students, the state’s largest services export sector, valued at $14.6 billion in 2019.
