Newington parents take fight against coeducation to speech night

Newington College executives will spend the final week of the school year in meetings with parents and benefactors to try to ease concerns about plans to open up the 160-year-old institution to girls.

A group of more than 400 parents and old boys is planning to campaign under the slogan “Save Newington College” at end-of-year events, including the Sydney private school’s speech night on Tuesday.
