Industry leaders targeted in $1m TAFE teacher drive
The NSW government will spend $1 million to fund training for industry experts to become TAFE NSW teachers in an attempt to bolster the teaching numbers in sectors facing critical skill shortages.
The program aims to expand teaching resources to meet the rising demand for workers in industries such as aged care, construction, healthcare and cyber security, which are predicted to require tens of thousands of workers in the next decade.
