Women outnumber men in Australian universities but, when they graduate, they enter one of the most gender-segregated workplaces in the developed world. Men work with men and women work with women.

"Australia has one of the most highly gender-segregated work environments than any other country in the OECD," says associate dean of the University of Sydney Business School, Rae Cooper.
