Lawyers for iron ore heir Julian Wright accused his older sister Angela Bennett and deceased older brother Michael Wright of deceiving him as they worked to push him out of the family’s company, which is now worth billions.
In his opening address in the Supreme Court of Western Australia, Pat Zappia, QC, said Julian Wright would never have sold his stake to his siblings for $6.8 million two years after the death of their father in 1985 had he known the significance of the mining assets held by Wright Prospecting Pty Ltd (WPPL).
