Volkswagen shares have powered higher recently, after the German auto giant presented its technology roadmap for batteries and “charging up to 2030” on its first so-called ‘Power Day’.

This was akin to Tesla’s ‘Battery Day’, an event that has often generated much excitement. Battery technology will be critical to the evolution of electric vehicles (EVs) and for those to become the dominant drive technology in the years ahead.
