Was COVID-19 the 'last dance' for active managers?

Managed funds in the "growth" category finally beat the index as global markets tanked on the pandemic but that glory was short lived, according to research house Morningstar.

One of the saving graces of the coronavirus lockdown period has of course been the much-anticipated release of ESPN's The Last Dance on Netflix, charting the rise of Michael Jordan as arguably history's greatest athlete and the unlikely comeback staged by the once-languishing Chicago Bulls in the National Basketball Association in the 1990s.

For sports fans, the documentary offers incredible game footage not seen in years, replete with music-backed montages designed to tug at the heartstrings.
