Tesla chairman spearheads tech sector growth plan

Technology must take its place as a mainstream pillar of the post-pandemic Australian economy, as the main driver of employment and economic growth, says Robyn Denholm, Sydney-based chairman of US electric car giant Tesla.
Ms Denholm was announcing the launch of the Tech Council of Australia, which will lobby for the sector, saying its contribution to the country’s bottom line can increase by $77 billion over the next decade.
