Tech puts money where its mouth is to solve talent shortage
Australia’s biggest tech companies and founders are investing tens of millions into solving the nation’s tech skills shortage, with Airwallex, WiseTech, Canva and Atlassian channelling funds into a variety of education initiatives.
On Tuesday Airwallex will announce a $3 million investment and partnership with the University of Melbourne to create 42 new financial scholarships, an opportunity fund, a future idea fund and a student enrichment plan, aimed at increasing access, exposure and career opportunities for technology students.
