Tech jobs could flee offshore, Aconex founder warns

The founder of successful local software start-up Aconex, Leigh Jasper, warns that the next wave of tech jobs could flee offshore as COVID-19 accelerates the technology sector but the growing venture capital scene increasingly makes bigger bets overseas.

Mr Jasper, whose company was bought for $1.6 billion by Oracle in 2017, said Australia was falling behind other tech hotspots, despite increasing levels of venture capital heading to the mature end of the tech sector.
