Women across Australia’s technology sector say Richard White’s ongoing influence at WiseTech despite accusations of bullying and inappropriate conduct – which are yet to be investigated – sends a signal to women that founders remain a protected species.

WiseTech announced on Thursday that Mr White would resign as chief executive to take up a “full-time, long-term consulting role” where he will be paid the same $1 million annual salary he has received since 2014.
