Yesterday, Microsoft president Brad Smith stood side by side with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in the US to announce the company will invest a record $5 billion in Australia over the next two years.

Microsoft says its investment will take the form of hyperscale cloud computing and AI infrastructure, upskilling Australians to seize the opportunities of AI, and enhancing our nation’s cyber security capability.
