You won’t regret buying this TV, but will you use it?

LG’s StanbyME Go is one of the most fascinating, utterly silly contraptions we’ve ever reviewed in the Digital Life Labs.

No doubt some of you will have been strolling in the countryside at some point, maybe in the UK, and happened upon a tower or a cupola that appears to have fallen from the sky. It’s not part of a bigger building. It has no apparent purpose other than decorative. It’s just sitting alone in a field, looking magical.

That, my friend, is what we in the Digital Life Labs like to call a “StanbyME Go” (though it’s better known as a folly), and it’s named after the battery-powered, 27-inch TV in a suitcase we’ve been reviewing over the Christmas break.
