Private health insurer Medibank has been hit with a fourth class action from customers affected by its huge data breach last October, with Slater & Gordon the latest legal firm seeking financial recompense for some of the 9.7 million Medibank customers who had their details posted online.
In a statement on Friday morning, Slater and Gordon’s class actions practice group leader Ben Hardwick said the firm was already representing thousands of former, current and prospective customers across Medibank, its ahm subsidiary and its travel insurance products.
