Almost a decade before US private equity fund Thoma Bravo lobbed a non–binding $1.1 billion bid for Nearmap, the company made one critical decision that catapulted it into an accelerating growth path.
It was November 2012 and Nearmap was led by former CEO Simon Crowther, who is now based in Vancouver, Canada, and sits on a range of start-up boards.
