Meta social media and messaging services Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp appear to be recovering after they suffered major outages around the world, with some Australians waking up to find themselves unable to log in or make new posts.
Online outage detector website Downdetector showed a spike in reported problems with Meta’s four social platforms since 5am AEDT, as Australians started to wake up and attempt to log in.
