Big VCs are getting bigger as fundraising pulls out of year-long slump

Fewer local venture-capital firms closed new funds in the past year, cementing a divide between established and newer investors.
Just seven firms closed new funds totalling $US1.88 billion ($3 billion) last year, according to data compiled for The Australian Financial Review by researchers at Pitchbook.
