A Melbourne company that makes cameras and software used to make major Hollywood movies is planning to list on the ASX, after seeing a boom in movie studio equipment upgrades as COVID-19 shut down productions.

Australia's Blackmagic Design, the video-production technology company that has taken both YouTube and Hollywood by storm with its low-cost, high-end video cameras and production equipment, says the pandemic has been an unexpected fillip for the business.
