Adelaide looks to Boston as SA government eyes future as tech startup centre
Faced with car plant closures and the potential loss of defence construction activity, the South Australian government has developed a plan to make Adelaide one of the largest tech start-up centres in the Asia-Pacific region, modelled on the US city of Boston.
Adelaide's plan includes establishing a dedicated technology precinct to attract start-ups, venture capitalists and academics. The precinct will be designed so people with ideas for new products or services can have ready access to advice, funding and potential business partners.
