A supercomputer strapped to your wrist: Google’s new Pixel Watch

It’s not just the time and weather appearing in my Gemini history any more. It’s my stray thoughts, too.

What will it do to your brain, over the long term, having an instantly accessible superintelligence strapped to your wrist, answering your every question, responding seamlessly to even your most fleeting thoughts?

It’s not a question Apple users need worry about yet. Siri, the AI in the Apple Watch, isn’t quite at the level where one risks shifting one’s entire cognitive apparatus from the head down to the wrist, just by putting on a watch. Though that may change now that Apple is reportedly talking to Google to use Google’s Gemini AI in Siri.
