There are three things to know about the NBN Co overhaul starting this weekend, in which most customers will get internet speeds up to five times faster than what they’re now on, often without lifting a finger or paying a cent more.
The basic details of the free upgrade are that a year ago NBN announced a big boost in available speeds to customers on fibre to the premises (FTTP) or hybrid fibre coaxial (HFC) connections.
