$100m Sydney fintech raises $34m to take on global rivals

Ellerston Capital has taken a minority stake in digital identity and verification player Data Zoo in a deal that values the Sydney-founded business north of $100 million.
Founded by accountant-turned-entrepreneur Tony Fitzgibbon in 2011, Data Zoo had never taken on external funding before it raised $US22.5 million ($34 million) from Ellerston Capital.
