McAleese financier stalks Watpac civil and mining unit

A special situations firm that was involved in the recapitalisation of trucking business McAleese is believed to be in talks to acquire ASX-listed Watpac's mining services unit.

Street Talk understands Sydney-based Remagen Capital is deep into due diligence on Watpac's civil and mining business, and both potential buyer and seller are hopeful that a deal will be able to be negotiated.
