Macquarie to pull pin on SkyCity carpark deal

Macquarie Group’s expected to hit reverse on a $NZ220 million long-term deal to own and operate the car parks at SkyCity Entertainment Group’s flagship casino in Auckland.

The deal, struck via Macquarie Principal Finance Group in 2019, was derailed by a fire at the under construction New Zealand International Convention Centre, owned by SkyCity, soon after.
